This is the time of year when lotion, chapstick and gloves become your best friend. It’s already bitterly cold here in good ole’ Iowa, it even snowed during Thanksgiving break. My extremities are not happy about it.
Before the temperature started dropping, I styled 2 winter looks that are perfect for those of you who don’t have such a bitter winter. If you’re unlucky like me, then you can add warmth by layering with long sleeves, jackets, coats, and scarves.
When I was brainstorming this shoot, I was imagining a dreamy winter that was a bit influenced by Alice In Wonderland but not as psychedelic. I’m currently in a computer aided design class, so it was fun for me to play around with the skills I’ve learned to edit these pictures.
Lots of my inspiration came from images on Pinterest of whimsical shoots filled with flowers, forests and smoke bombs and I made them my own.
The location for this shoot was actually at a vacant B&B not too far from town. According to an article the owners closed the place and moved away, but still owned the building.
The title of this set is “Once Upon a Winter” but consider this shoot part one: pre-winter style since accordingly to the calendar, winter officially begins on December 21.
