Fall is always a great season for fashion because of all the elements you can add to a fall outfit and while it’s cool to be trendy, it’s always nice to add your own spin.
The temperature has started to dip here in Houston and that means we finally get to dress like it’s actually Fall and thanks to Tobi.com I’ve styled 4 pieces that are sure to make you stand out this season.
Most of my outfits are styled with thrifted pieces making it hard for you to get the same pieces, so I picked up items that are currently in store from Urban Outfitters to complete all the looks.
The first look features the Reese Satin Wrap Skort Romper that can easily be dressed up or down. Fall time means it’s all about layering so I added this super soft high/low v-neck sweater from Urban Outfitters.
Besides the color, the best part is obviously the fact that it’s a skort, so you can wear it with ease.
To dress this look up, I opted for knee high black boots by Chinese Laundry, but a pair of lace up combat boots would have been a nice juxtaposition as well.
An outfit is never complete with accessories, so I styled it with a black and white beaded choker and silver charm necklace.
A jacket is the easiest way is take an outfit up a notch and cropped jackets should be a staple in your closet.
I’m a sucker for neutrals and the Blake Jacket is a muted maroon color making it easy to mix and match.
This outfit would be perfect for a chilly night out because of the flowy black pants that are insanely comfortable. The bralette paired under the sheer top keeps you from getting too hot while you’re out and about.
The best way to steer people away from messing with you is to add a pair of chunky Dr. Martens to your look.
Fishnets has been one of the top Fall 2017 trends, but there are other ways to rock this trend by getting yourself a pair of embellished tights.
These Crystallize Fishnet Tights are so cute that you’re guaranteed to get tons of compliments when you use them to spruce an outfit.
I wanted them to really shine, so I kept the entire look simple by pairing the tights with a chunky oversized blue sweater from Free People.
It’s insanely comfortable and if I had it when I went to school in Iowa, I would have worn it every day.
By adding a pair of black Air Force Ones, it completely tones the outfit down making it appropriate for running errands, casual lunch, or class.
Having sheer items in your closet is an essential, because they’re perfect for layering and making your looks more interesting.
My new favorite piece is this olive So Meshed Up Bodysuit and best thing about it is that it’s a turtle neck so it can peek out of t-shirts.
While the classic way to style sheer tops is to put a bralette underneath, I wanted to make it more casual by layering it with a simple plaid mini dress from Urban Outfitters.
This look will give you major private school vibes but the velvet booties from Matisse make it a bit more dressy, so you could wear it to a holiday party or dinner.
Special thanks to Marie Daly for modeling and Tobi.com again for sending me these pieces to style and share with you guys! All opinions and outfit styling is my own.
