If you read my previous post, you’d know that I made the big move from America to Australia and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made so far. In that post, I mentioned spending my summer working on a bunch of little animations made with After Effects and I’m sharing all of them with you in this post.
Using After Effects can be pretty overwhelming because there’s so many options and it can be difficult to know where to start when you’ve got an idea in mind. My sole purpose while making these animations was to see what all the different effect options could do.
The ideas for each of these animations came to me randomly and I did my best to bring them to life by refining them as I went along to add more depth. There’s technically no wrong way to create each desired effects which is what I love most about creating art.
I made an effort to include different elements and effects in each of the animations to separate them, but it would definitely be cool if I revisit these later and try to make them even more advanced after I’ve started my digital media program next year.
There’s always something so satisfying about seeing what you envisioned in your head come to life and be able to share it visually with other people. I’m definitely the kind of person whose better at showing people than trying to explain.
Enough of the blabber, here’s 6 animations I made over the summer.
Which one was your favorite? Let me know in the comments.
Thanks for reading (and watching) and stay hungry to learn, create and grow!
