I’ve done what almost every Millennial is trying to avoid and that is to get a job. Besides having an excuse to search for the best work bags, getting a job after moving to a new city guarantees you consistent income hitting your account and helps you assimilate into the culture and meet new people.
I was lucky enough to get a job doing administration and it’s my first real job since graduating university. Most of my shifts are the regular 8 hour shifts with a lunch break and short tea breaks in the morning and afternoon. In an effort to save money I bring my own lunch and a few snacks to munch on throughout the day which means there’s got to be enough space in my work bag to fit it all.
In addition to food, other items that must fit in my work bag include mints, chap stick, headphones, phone charger, notebook, tablet, laptop, water bottle, and a wallet. Having an overstuffed bag that can’t be closed is the worst especially when you walk or take public transportation to work, so I’m on the hunt for the best work bag.
I love a bag that is versatile so my favorite styles for work are large totes that you can basically dump anything in and satchels for more structured compartments. I’m a classic black kinda girl so my work bag can go with any outfit, but a nice pop of color can be fun too!
For all my female working professionals out there, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite work bag styles to help you find the perfect work bag for you.
