Outfit of the Day #12 – Green Like Graffiti

The nice thing about winter is being able to bundle up and be all cozy in an outfit. I’ve got another outfit of the day for you and it’s definitely winter here in Melbourne so I’m using the opportunity to add any sort of outerwear.

My wardrobe is severely lacking in the chunky cardigan department so when I came across this knit citron colored one on Free People‘s website, I imagined how soft and warm it would feel on my arms. And since it was on sale, I made the leap and don’t have buyers remorse.

It’s a nice thickness that lays perfectly on the body and keeps you warm. The obvious is definitely the gorgeous color, while it is bright it isn’t as highlight yellow as it comes off in the pictures. It’s definitely more of a citron.

If I had any issues with this cardigan, it would be that the craftsmanship is so delicate that you have be careful not to snag it on anything. Let’s just say, it’s not the kind of cardigan you would wear if you were going bush walking that’s for sure.

Pants that feel like sweatpants but don’t look like them are the best and usually what I gravitate to during these cooler months. These gray knit ones are from Urban Outfitters and they’re currently on sale! Besides the neutral color they are insanely comfortable, I’ve actually worn them to work 4 times in the past two weeks.

Since the cardigan and knit pants do all the talking, I threw on a plain black t-shirt from Brandy Melville. I really like their basics since they’re inexpensive and really soft. Other than that, nothing crazy special about them since you can get a black t-shirt anywhere.

The final element of this outfit is my first pair of ASH shoes. They’re part of a collaboration ASH did with Filip Pagowski called the Pharell Flame. The shoes feature a fun colorway of black, white, and lime green in a cool and eye-catching pattern on the upper. I appreciate the Velcro closures making them really easy to take on and off.

This is probably the most comfiest yet stylish outfit I’ve put together so snag the pieces quick if you want to style them for yourself.

Which piece of this outfit of the day was your favorite? Let me know in the comments.
