Outfit of the Day #2 – Waterfalling for Flares

This past month I’ve been treatin’ ma self and picked up a few pieces from Urban Outfitters online. One of them was these satin navy culotte pants from Silence + Noise that I wore for a recent outfit of the day.

A few weeks ago I visited the great city of Kansas City with my boyfriend and we got to see why so many people enjoy it there. I always imagined Kansas City as a city with little to offer but I was definitely wrong.

We only went on a two day trip so I was forced to pack light and I brought two outfits. Here are one of the outfits that I put together.

These satin pants are so comfortable, soft, and flattering. They look so good when you’re walking too, so I would recommend them to anyone. I’m seriously tempted to only buy culottes now because they are so damn comfortable.

Since it’s still a bit chilly in the Midwest, I layered them with my trusty gray long sleeve turtleneck top from Brandy Melville. It’s so soft, stretchy and very affordable!

The final touch to this outfit is this Adidas Originals trefoil floral top from their 2016 floral collection. I scored this when I visited Italy last Spring and it’s a keeper. The pattern has multiple colors and textures making it super easy to style with a bunch of different bottoms.

Instead of going full street wear with the outfit, I kept it more dressy versus casual and wore these navy velvet booties from Matisse Footwear. These beauties are quite comfortable for long days of walking and they add an extra element of interest.

If you want a more casual look then you can definitely switch out the shoes for a pair of green, purple, or white sneakers to pull colors from the top.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to leave you without talking about this beautiful waterfall pictured behind me. We stumbled upon it while on our way to lunch in Kansas City and it was at the entrance of a residential neighborhood. The neighborhood was built on a hill so the waterfall was basically in someone’s backyard. How cool!
