Vietnam Travel Video

The last place I got to travel to before the pandemic was Vietnam in November 2019 and it was probably my most special trip yet.

There are so many amazing things I could say about Vietnam so I figured it would be easier to articulate with a Vietnam travel video.

Catch up with my Snapshots posts here:

When I first tried editing the video, I was having a hard time piecing together the story. It wasn’t until I decided to get off social media and go back to what I used to do as a kid and just create.

Growing up, I was always doing what I could to turn the ideas in my head into something tangible. Then somewhere along the line I lost that.

I believe it was a combination of growing up and getting distracted by partying, college, and social media. Don’t get me wrong, I am so grateful and happy that I can look back at my adolescence with lots of fond memories I made with my friends being wild.

But there comes a time when you need to recenter yourself and ask the question, who am I without the energy of others?

Social media is a beast of its own in the way it has the ability to bring and keep you down. Personally, I found it to be so distracting to constantly be flooded with other peoples lives.

I was oohing and awing, trying to pick different parts of peoples lives that I would want for myself.

I would tell myself, if I had xyz, xyz, and xyz I would be happy, instead of actually doing the action and seeing if xyz would actually make me happy.

Quarantine was the perfect excuse to just drown out the world and focus on myself and it’s crazy what you can do once you’re no longer distracted by all the noise.

In the midst of silence, I was able to figure out who my soul wants to be and what story it wants to tell through whatever medium.

I am so pleased with how the Vietnam video turned out, it’s definitely one of my favorites in the way it previews the chaos and beauty that is Vietnam.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading (and watching) and stay hungry to learn, create, and grow!
